Vintage Lollipop x Magazzini del Sale

Photobucket

Photobucket

"The conception of this five t-shirt capsule collection was produced from the collaboration between Magazzini del Sale and Bella Harris, an American writer and author of the blog Vintage Lollipops. Integrating the elements of personal style and artistic vision, Bella's designs include illustrations exclusively selected for Magazzini del Sale. Bella is an author of Children's/YA Literature, freelance writer, artist/fashion illustrator, style blogger, and true lover of fashion, who is changing the world one pair of shoes at a time."

As soon as I saw Bella's blog, I knew she wasn't an ordinary fashion blogger. She paints, she draws, she takes photos, she designs t-shirts for the Italian label Magazzini del Sale. Her capsule collection has been featured on tons of cool websites (and now it's on mine too, ha!). The simple white cotton t-shirts look perfect on basically everything: on a pair of jeans or a bodycon skirt, under a jacket, even under a tuxedo. Moreover, the fact that they're made in Italy means one thing: good quality. It's 100% cotton, nothing like H&M t-shirts! One thing I love about mine is that it doesn't cling to my body too much, so it's nice and comfy :) I bet I'll be wearing this awesome tee a lot this summer!

You can learn more about Bella and her t-shirts on her blog, etsy shop and art print shop.

I heart mail ++ my987wardrobe.com

My week in Dublin was probably the worst of my life, for reasons I don't even want to talk about. The only good thing there was shopping, really (but I think I'm going to talk about that in another post). I never thought I could miss my home so much and I was so happy to come back. I was even happier when I found lots of parcels waiting for me - I'm convinced that getting mail is like the grown-up version of Santa, because you get exactly the same feeling!
Beside two packets from Romwe (tights and jewelry I won in a giveaway.. lucky me) and some rhinestones (?!) I also got something from lovely Laura at My987wardrobe.com.. look at the photos and guess what it is :)

Launched in 2010, My987wardrobe.com is an online shopping website for women where each and every item costs just £9.87 or £19.87. That's right: everything on the website (and that means jeans, dresses, jackets, bags, jewelry, hair accessories) costs less than £10 or £20! Such a cool idea. Also, the website is run buy a former Topshop buyer - this means you can't possibly find any rubbish there.

I was sent the Butterfly Back dress and the Vintage Style Lace dress to try. The first one has a beautiful cut-out back I fell in love with. When I chose this dress I wasn't too sure about it, but I turned out to like it very much! It's a bit too tight on my hips but nevermind, there's thousands of ways you can wear this dress.. as a t-shirt for example. It looks like a plain black dress from the front, but the detailing on the back makes it quite elegant and perfect for going out at night. Also, it's 100% cotton, so it's soft and comfy!
As you can see from the photos, the second one is really my style. Although I'm not a huge fan of full-lace dresses, I like this one - maybe because it reminds me of a vintage nightgown! The embroidered detail on the front is what makes this dress an actual one and not just lingerie in my opinion ;) I'll definitely be using this dress lot in the summer!

I really can't tell which one I like the most, because they're both gorgeous in different ways. I love how they both are so versatile: you can wear them at night and day just styling them differently. Overall, My987wardrobe.com made a very good impression on me. Although it's been called "the Primark of the internet", you can get quite good stuff there! I think the concept of selling everything at such a low price is interesting - the prices at H&M or Zara can be much higher sometimes. I'm curious to see how this website will develop!

PS: I changed the layout a bit. Do you like it? :)

La città eterna

Like every year, my family and I go to Rome at the beginning of December for a shopping trip - and every time we go back home without a single shopping bag. I don't know how's that possible.

I generally don't go around boasting, but this just made me so happy. A few weeks ago I won a Marc Jacobs bag on his twitter and I am so thankful for this opportunity.
