Raf Simons' grand finale

I had planned to do a post about Luisa Beccaria's new collection, but I guess I'll talk about it another time. Today's Jil Sander Fall 2013 show was the last Raf Simons' one and you can't even imagine how sad I am. Although I wear quite different things and I seldom post about it here, Jil Sander has been my favourite designer almost since I approached fashion several years ago. I like the work of Sander herself, but what Raf Simons did in the past few years was just amazing in my opinion. I was genuinely sad when I heard about his resignation.

Simons did such a great job at renovating the Fifties woman that I almost think that if the rumor he's about to replace Galliano at Dior is true, he's the right designer to do it. The shapes of some of the clothes are very Dior-ish.

PS: I just read on Vogue Italia's website that Hedi Slimane is replacing Stefano Pilati at YSL next season. ..What is going on with all these designers?

The best of MFW

MFW is not over yet, but I already picked my favourite shows. But I see prints and patterns and bold colours mixed together and I'm not sure if I like it..

Bottega Veneta never disappoints me.
