I had planned to do a post about Luisa Beccaria's new collection, but I guess I'll talk about it another time. Today's Jil Sander Fall 2013 show was the last Raf Simons' one and you can't even imagine how sad I am. Although I wear quite different things and I seldom post about it here, Jil Sander has been my favourite designer almost since I approached fashion several years ago. I like the work of Sander herself, but what Raf Simons did in the past few years was just amazing in my opinion. I was genuinely sad when I heard about his resignation.
Simons did such a great job at renovating the Fifties woman that I almost think that if the rumor he's about to replace Galliano at Dior is true, he's the right designer to do it. The shapes of some of the clothes are very Dior-ish.
PS: I just read on Vogue Italia's website that Hedi Slimane is replacing Stefano Pilati at YSL next season. ..What is going on with all these designers?

My week in Dublin was probably the worst of my life, for reasons I don't even want to talk about. The only good thing there was shopping, really (but I think I'm going to talk about that in another post). I never thought I could miss my home so much and I was so happy to come back. I was even happier when I found lots of parcels waiting for me - I'm convinced that getting mail is like the grown-up version of Santa, because you get exactly the same feeling!
Beside two packets from Romwe (tights and jewelry I won in a giveaway.. lucky me) and some rhinestones (?!) I also got something from lovely Laura at My987wardrobe.com.. look at the photos and guess what it is :)
Launched in 2010, My987wardrobe.com is an online shopping website for women where each and every item costs just £9.87 or £19.87. That's right: everything on the website (and that means jeans, dresses, jackets, bags, jewelry, hair accessories) costs less than £10 or £20! Such a cool idea. Also, the website is run buy a former Topshop buyer - this means you can't possibly find any rubbish there.
I was sent the Butterfly Back dress and the Vintage Style Lace dress to try. The first one has a beautiful cut-out back I fell in love with. When I chose this dress I wasn't too sure about it, but I turned out to like it very much! It's a bit too tight on my hips but nevermind, there's thousands of ways you can wear this dress.. as a t-shirt for example. It looks like a plain black dress from the front, but the detailing on the back makes it quite elegant and perfect for going out at night. Also, it's 100% cotton, so it's soft and comfy!
As you can see from the photos, the second one is really my style. Although I'm not a huge fan of full-lace dresses, I like this one - maybe because it reminds me of a vintage nightgown! The embroidered detail on the front is what makes this dress an actual one and not just lingerie in my opinion ;) I'll definitely be using this dress lot in the summer!
I really can't tell which one I like the most, because they're both gorgeous in different ways. I love how they both are so versatile: you can wear them at night and day just styling them differently. Overall, My987wardrobe.com made a very good impression on me. Although it's been called "the Primark of the internet", you can get quite good stuff there! I think the concept of selling everything at such a low price is interesting - the prices at H&M or Zara can be much higher sometimes. I'm curious to see how this website will develop!
PS: I changed the layout a bit. Do you like it? :)

Hello everyone! I'm leaving for Dublin tomorrow morning. I'm going to stay there for one week with my schoolmates to improve our English! I'm really excited and I still have lots of things to do, but I found the time to write something here nonetheless. Since I haven't had much time to research, I wanted to ask you some advice on where to shop for clothes and make-up, where to eat, what to see.. just cool things to do there! Any help would be much appreciated! :)
So I'll be back home on the 18th, hopefully with lots of photos, purchases and most of all memories to share with you. Lots of love! x

Although I'm not much of a fan of Marni's bold prints or collaborations with high street stores, I liked the Marni x H&M campaign backstage video. Guess why? It was filmed by Sofia Coppola!
The collection will launch on March 8th in selected stores.

For me, Couture means attention for the details. And I think the following designers think the same thing when creating their collections.
(This one was probably my favourite look from all the couture collections. Just look at it. It takes your breath away how many hours it took to realize it)

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't blogged in such a long time, but I've been quite busy. I was in Milan during the weekend too, so I just haven't had the time! I'll be back soon with some interesting posts anyway. There is something important I have to announce though, and that is the Cutey bracelet giveaway winner!
Congratulations Nora Piros! I just sent you an email :)
I wanted to thank all my followers, old and new. I'm very happy for the huge response I got for this giveaway and I can't wait to make some more!
